Who qualifies for a workplace nanny pension?

It is crucial to understand the exact requirements for a workplace nanny pension, from the age criteria to the gross salary. To be an eligible employee, you must:

– Age criteria: They must be aged 22 or over but below state pension age.

– Gross salary: Their gross salary is more than £833/month or £192/week.

– Employment date: These conditions apply from the date their employment starts.

What is a Declaration of Compliance, and do I need to complete one?

The Declaration of Compliance is a legal requirement that tells The Pensions Regulator about your pension status, even if your nanny doesn’t qualify or opts out. It is the employer’s responsibility to submit this form within 5 months of your HMRC registration start date. At Nannywage, we handle this for you free of charge.

Do I need to re-enroll my nanny in the future?

Yes. Every 3 years, you’ll need to complete a Re-Declaration of Compliance. We take care of this for you as part of our ongoing pension service.
